OK, so I've given myself the stretch goal of getting chapter 5 of this podfic edited today. This is 1:44:31 of raw recording to get through, so we'll see how it goes. :S

I've also, happily, gotten permission to record another podfic, which I hope to get done this week! (I gave myself the goal at the beginning of the year to post at least 1 podfic a month and don't want to miss March, even though I'm doing soooo much podficcing in March already. Still, this is a shorter story that is high in amplificathon points, so I'm going for it!)

Heh, in this recording, I just paused my reading so I could coo at the characters. *<3 this story*

*phew* I now have 20 minutes of this chapter done, 1/3 of the way through! Total time up to 4:50:10! I'm also beginning to think that my initial estimate of 20 hours is going to come up short of the final product at this rate.

Thanks! I saw this just as I was wondering if I should edit some more, and it was the push I needed (though, there's no way I'm finishing chapter 5 tonight)

Just remember that every minute you edit now, is one more minute you won't have to edit later (and save save save save save). *\o/*

:P Actually don't save as I go, and always *headdesk* if I accidentally hit +s instead of +z or something. The program I use (Nero WaveEditor)leaves marks showing where I've made a cut, which I use as visual queues to check the pacing, but when you save, it writes all the changes to file and those marks go away.

Also, Nero has an awesome autosave. It's only let me down once, which is a pretty small amount considering how many times I've used the autosave. :P

But I do need to keep at the editing if I ever have any hope of getting this podfic done in time. The original schedule I set myself has me finishing chapter 6 tomorrow (which is 9.8K) and I'm still only 1/3 of the way through chapter 5!

Got another section of chapter 5 done, it's now up to 24:45 4:55:01 of the total podfic, only 5 minutes away from 5 hours! *\o/* But I still have 1:12:45 of raw files left to edit in this chapter. /o/
